Job summary

Armour Group Limited in Halifax is seeking a Commercial Leasing Associate to connect tenants with premier spaces across our residential, commercial, and mixed-use portfolio. You will conduct property tours, negotiate leases, coordinate signings, and maintain records while ensuring compliance and strong tenant relations.

The ideal candidate brings experience in commercial real estate leasing or property management, solid negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial real estate leasing or property management.
  • Familiarity with lease negotiations, tenant management, and commercial property marketing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients, tenants, and colleagues.
  • Negotiation skills to handle lease terms and resolve disputes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and property management software.
  • Ability to conduct market research and prepare reports.
  • Attention to detail, especially in legal documents and lease terms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer-focused with a professional demeanor.
  • Organized and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide detailed property information
  • Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants with support of Leasing Manager/Legal Counsel
  • Coordinate and facilitate lease signings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for current tenants and prospective tenants.
  • Provide regular reports on occupancy rates, lease renewals, and other performance metrics.
  • Handle lease renewals and ensure timely communication with tenants regarding lease expiration.
  • Assist in creating retention strategies to ensure tenants renew leases.
  • Maintain organized records of lease agreements, addenda, and related documents.
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding leasing and property management.
  • Work closely with property managers, maintenance teams, and legal professionals to ensure smooth leasing operations.
  • Other similar and related duties as required from time to time.
