The Armour Group Limited, a leading hospitality, development and construction company in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a Jr Project Manager to support complex development initiatives in the Maritimes. You will work with stakeholders, manage projects through the lifecycle, and help ensure timely delivery of iconic assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience leading complex construction projects.
• PMP certification is an asset but not required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to tailor communication to diverse stakeholders including senior leadership.
• Knowledge of procurement practices in planning, design and operation of high-end assets.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
• Some knowledge of construction/build-out practices is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution with internal and external stakeholders, representing the company’s interests.
• Provide hands-on project management across the lifecycle, including schedules and quality.
• Oversee external service providers and subcontractors to keep projects moving on time and within scope.
• Manage resources and expectations while communicating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Prepare detailed handover and inspection programs to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Assist with other related duties as reasonably required by the employer.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, in this role you will have the opportunity to support strategic and complex development initiatives in our Region. This opportunity is ideal if you are driven, detail oriented and have a strong interest in seeing projects come to life.

As a Jr Project Manager, you’ll get to:

• Work with internal and external stakeholders on project execution while communicating the Company’s interests throughout projects;
• Provide dependable oversight and hands on project management throughout the lifecycle of construction projects, including schedules and quality while establishing and maintaining positive relations and communication with stakeholders such as planning agencies, consultants, architects and subcontractors;
• Oversee the work of external professional service providers while keeping projects moving, within scope and ensuring timelines are met;
• Maximize resources, managing expectations, communicating difficult or complex concepts while collaborating with others to achieve success;
• Prepare detailed project handover and inspection programs to ensure the streamlined delivery of each project.

• Such other similar and related duties as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time

Your qualifications include:

• 3 + years experience as a Construction Project Role leading complex projects.
• PMP certification an asset but not required.

• Ability to communicate with others clearly and effectively.
• Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to establish relationships with various stakeholders and adjust communication style to various audiences including senior leadership.
• Thorough knowledge of procurement and practices as applied to planning, design and operation of high-end assets.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects and can demonstrate how you have measured your success on previous projects.
• Some knowledge of construction/ build out practices considered an asset
