eMAG Teams in Canada, British Columbia, is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our hybrid team. You will prepare scenarios, partner with the Commercial department, and deliver ad-hoc profitability and budget analyses to support decision making.

The role requires 1–4 years in a similar role, strong Excel and SQL skills, and fluent English. You will collaborate with technical teams to optimize processes and drive effective commercial campaigns.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in a commercial & retail controlling or similar role.
• Strong Excel, SQL and database querying skills with solid knowledge of statistics and BI tools.
• Fluent English and ability to work in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scenarios and strategies with the Senior Manager from the Commercial department.
• Act as a business partner and adviser for the commercial department.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyze profitability, budget vs actual, product availability, and promotions.
• Perform variance analysis vs budget, rolling estimates and prior year.
• Support large promotional campaigns, monitoring and reviews.
• Monthly profitability and cost indicators analysis; data gathering and verification within the team.
• Participate in commercial activities and meetings; collaborate with technical teams to improve processes.
• Draft financial calculations for forecasting orders, sales and inventory; support commercial initiatives.
