Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Financial Business Analyst to support a major financial reporting and data transformation initiative in the Vancouver area. Qualifications

• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger and journal-entry structures.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and its financial modules.
• Experience with BI/Data Analytics teams.
• Power BI experience is an asset.
• Business Central Configuration Packages/import experience is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication bridging Finance and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand changes to the financial model and reporting needs.
• Gather and document current and future-state requirements for financial reports, dashboards and analytics.
• Translate accounting and financial requirements into clear specifications for Data & Analytics teams.
• Work with Dynamics 365 Business Central data, financial modules and GL structures.
• Map source-system data, Business Central data elements and GL accounts.
• Define requirements for cost-centre transfers, allocations and journal-entry imports.
• Review and validate financial reports and dashboards developed by BI/Data teams.
• Reconcile reporting results back to the General Ledger and investigate discrepancies.
• Work closely with data analysts, BI developers and data engineers.
• Ensure reporting solutions accurately reflect accounting logic and business requirements.
