Job summary

CIBC in Edmonton is seeking a Commercial Banking Associate to join a team that has supported businesses for over a century. You will learn credit structuring, risk assessment and cash management through a structured program, while contributing to client acquisition and relationship management.

You’ll assist with financing transactions, perform financial analyses, and participate in the sales cycle to prepare for a future Relationship Manager role, developing essential skills and industry

Qualifications

• Final year of post-secondary education pursuing a degree/diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting or related fields with an expected graduation date before May 31, 2027.

• Work location: Edmonton and other locations with mobility as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Commercial Banking Managers with existing client relationships and new financing transactions.
• Provide quality financial and industry analysis as part of the deal team.
• Participate in all sales cycle activities to prepare for Relationship Manager role and support business development.
• Develop soft skills in business development, negotiation and networking.
