Responsibilities:

  1. Performing timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial analysis (i.e., IRR, NPV, etc.)
  2. Developing and maintaining project-level economic models
  3. Managing 3rd-party advisor engagements, data collection/analysis, and internal stakeholder coordination
  4. Monitoring key industry trends/fundamentals for key customers/commodities
  5. Working knowledge of the energy/midstream landscape in Western Canada is a plus
  6. Working with Business Development to prepare business cases (writing and economic modeling)
  7. Working closely with key stakeholders to support the Final Investment Decision process; including (but not limited to) preparing written materials and analysis for Vopak executives and the JV Board of Directors
  8. Supporting ad-hoc requests from management and other stakeholders
  9. Supporting negotiation of long-term/complex commercial agreements
  10. Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business/economics or technical/engineering)
  • 3-5 years experience in midstream, oil & gas, power or petrochemical industries
  • Thorough understanding of economic analysis and finance concepts
  • Familiarity with long-term/complex commercial agreements
  • Self-starter, ability to think outside the box and work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues around the world
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
