Job summary

SaskPower’s Coal Life Extension team seeks a Project Manager with extensive industrial project management experience to lead major refurbishment of existing units. This role is based in Regina, Saskatchewan and reports to the Manager of Coal Life Extension.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years leading large scale power generation or industrial projects, strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and contract development experience in a utility setting.

Qualifications

• Direct experience leading large scale, complex power generation or industrial projects.
• Minimum 10 years as a project manager in electrical utility or industrial environments.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical industry with experience in thermal generating facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to define project requirements and deliverables across scope, schedule and cost.
• Manage risks, issues, and change control to keep projects within budget and schedule.
• Oversee contract proposals and administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor critical paths, develop and approve schedule recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with technical, environmental and safety regulations.
