Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is offering a Co-op Winter 2027 position in System Engineering for TacNet, spanning 8-16 months. As an Intern, you will work in an Agile environment alongside software, network, and hardware engineers to support the LCSS.

Enrollment at a Canadian post-secondary institution and eligibility for a co-op term are required. You will participate in tests, documentation reviews, and design updates while contributing to security and reliability efforts.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related science at a recognized university.
• Interest in networked computer systems and growth in this field.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile team environment and attend daily scrums.
• Integrate efforts with team members.
• Execute tests and build procedures; capture results.
• Review and update system design documents and use cases.
• Participate in team document reviews and follow product delivery processes.
• Evaluate current software and plan future upgrade paths (obsolescence management).
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining test environments for stakeholders.
• Work with requirements, configuration and test management tools.
• Assist with diagnosis, root-c cause analysis, and problem repair.
