Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is offering a Winter 2027 Co‑op for Systems Engineering (4–8 months). You will assist in mission‑critical system development within the Air & Naval Sonar Systems group, supporting Ottawa and Halifax activities under senior engineers.

You must be enrolled in a recognized post‑secondary institution and eligible for a co‑op term. The role emphasizes system analysis, integration, testing, and documentation, with security requirements applicable to government

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a recognized university program in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams on complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform system requirements analysis and definition for new or evolving products.
• Support system architecture design, conduct trade studies, and define interfaces.
• Plan and execute system integration, including lab setup and tests.
• Support qualification and acceptance testing activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (specs, interfaces, test plans).
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical support and ideas.
• Tackle complex system‑level issues with root cause analysis.
