The InternalAudit department is looking for 2 (two) co-op students whohave a strong interest in internal audit and are ready to gain hands-onexperience in assessing governance, risk management and internal control in arapidly changing business landscape.
The students will work on operational and/orIT audits.
Operational audits focus on reviewing processes and practices in ourcore business areas, such as Assessments, Prevention Services, and Claims and RehabilitationServices. IT audits focus on technology processes, artificial intelligence,data security, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.This opportunityoffers exposure to a broad range of audit activities and helps students buildprofessional skills in communication, analysis, and problem solving. Thestudents will work closely with experienced audit professionals and gaininsight into how internal audit supports the achievement of WorkSafeBC’sstrategic objectives while enhancing decision-making and oversight in theorganization.
This role is fora 4-month long work term beginning on January 11, 2027.

On Day 1 in thisrole, you will get a chance to meet your manager and get acquainted with your team.You will spend time setting up administrative and technological essentials, andcompleting onboarding tasks, including security and payroll setup.
During your firstweek you will engage in a comprehensive onboarding program designed to equipyou for success, including becoming more familiar with internal audit. You willbe partnering and meeting with your manager to discuss your goals and align themwith the team’s vision. Additionally, you will learn how our departmentcontributes to the overall business strategy and supports the organization’smandate. You will also work through the onboarding program alongside yourmanager for added guidance and support.
This role is idealfor an individual who is eager to step beyond their comfort zone. We arelooking for someone with strong motivation and willingness to learn. The rightcandidate will possess analytical and critical thinking skills, enablingthemto help execute audit engagements efficiently and effectively.
