Job summary

Dometic Marine’s Vancouver area facility seeks a Co-op IT Support student to assist the IT team. You'll help with administration, documentation, inventory, and device deployments, while supporting engineering and technical staff across the site.

This role is open to current Canadian university students enrolled in a co-op program, offering hands-on learning in a global manufacturing environment with mentorship from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Computing & IT certificate/diploma/degree or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with staff across teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Systems Administrator and IT staff with documentation.
• Assist with inventory and computer deployments.
• Support confidential tasks with high attention to detail.
• Take on other projects as assigned.

• Pay or shift range: $21 CAD to $25 CAD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Our Marine organization is a trusted provider of innovative solutions for the worldwide boating and boat building industry, and we recently expanded our scope to lead the boating industry into an electrified future. Dometic has won numerous NMMA Innovation Awards over the years, and we are always striving for new ways to make boating easier, safer, and more enjoyable.

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Co-op IT Support. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and will work in Vancouver, B.C.

**Please note that this position is open to current students enrolled in a Canadian accredited university and co-op program.

Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.

As Co-op IT Support on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in a wide variety of tasks supporting administrative, engineering, and technical staff throughout the facility.

General Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Systems Administrator, IT Support Specialist, and Developer with documentation
• Assist with inventory and computer deployments
• Support actions that require a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Other projects and assignments as assigned

Skills & Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Computing & IT certificate/diploma/degree or an equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Solid problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• General proficiency with MS office programs including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and collectively as part of a team.
