Job summary

Dometic Marine’s Vancouver team is seeking a Co-op Quality Engineering student to support administrative, engineering and technical staff in a hands-on role. You’ll tailor projects to your skills and interests while gaining exposure to measurement, data reporting, and automation in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting warranty returns, installing equipment, improving measurement processes, data visualization with Power BI, and continuous improvement projects under

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Engineering program at an accredited university.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.
• Experience with data Query tools (SQL, Power Query, Power Automate), programming/database development, and Power BI is an asset.

• Extract and data analysis to improve Quality performance.
• Use Minitab to perform statistical study and identify opportunities to improve.
• Lead and execute Continuous Improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Learn and contribute to fixture design using CREO.
• Automate repetitive data-related tasks and improve existing scripts using Python, PowerShell, Macros, and Power Query.
• Assist engineers in developing work procedures and instructions using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Forms.

• Pay or shift range: $23.50 CAD to $27.50 CAD

We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Co-op Quality Engineering.This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and will work in Vancouver, B.C.

**Please note that this position is open to current students enrolled in a Canadian accredited university and co-op program.

Dometic Marine’s headquarters are in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. The facility develops and manufactures hydraulic, electronic, and combustion-based products.

As Co-op Quality Engineering on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in a wide variety of task supporting administrative, engineering and technical staff throughout the facility. We work to tailor projects and objectives to our students’ skillset, experience, and most importantly, interests. We want you to have a great experience!

General Responsibilities

Hands-on involvement in:

• Troubleshooting field failure products returned under warranty.
• Supporting installation of new measuring equipment.
