Job summary

Huawei Canada is offering an immediate 12/16-month co-op for a Researcher role in the Noah’s Ark lab focusing on autonomous driving and multimodal reasoning. You will design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models, prototype ideas with CARLA and large-scale driving datasets, and collaborate with senior researchers to publish results.

Strong Python, PyTorch, Linux skills and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software engineering, electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with PyTorch.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Docker, and Jupyter.
• Foundations in ML: linear algebra, probability, optimization, DL architectures.

Responsibilities

• Investigate autonomous driving and multimodal reasoning problems.
• Design and implement transformer-based vision-language models.
• Prototype and evaluate ideas using CARLA, Navsim and large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate with senior researchers and contribute to publications.
• Maintain clean, reproducible code and participate in discussions.
