Job summary

Huawei Canada is seeking a co-op Researcher to contribute to embodied AI projects and deploy algorithms into internal products. You will collaborate with researchers, implement models, and stay current with ML trends, producing reports and insights.

The ideal candidate is a third-year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in CS/EE, with strong Python and PyTorch skills, knowledge of DL, and familiarity with LLMs. Robotics knowledge and strong communication are assets.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in third year Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning components (training, regularization, generalization).
• Strong coding skills in Python; experience with PyTorch.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is an asset.
• Knowledge/experience in robotics is an asset.

• Participate in the embodied AI research project.

total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
