Job summary

Huawei Canada invites applications for an 8-12 month Co-op as Assistant Researcher in Markham, Ontario. You will join Noah's Ark lab to advance AI research in speech and audio technologies, with exposure to state-of-the-art DL methods and real-world product integration.

We seek a proactive student with C++ and Python experience, knowledge of deep learning, and strong communication skills. You'll contribute to literature reviews, algorithm implementations, data collection, and publishable results

Qualifications

Interest in speech and audio fundamentals; data structures/algorithms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong software development skills with C++ and Python.
Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience applying ML or speech/audio methods to real-world problems.
Android development familiarity; JNI is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Research and develop state-of-the-art technology in speech and audio AI.
Literature review, algorithm implementation, data collection and analysis.
Work with advanced speech and audio analysis using deep learning and signal processing techniques.
Document, present and publish research results.
Collaborate with a team of researchers and co-op researchers.
