Job summary

Huawei Canada is seeking a Research Co-op in Markham to contribute to the Noah’s Ark lab's embodied AI projects. You will implement algorithms for proposed models, deploy prototypes into internal products, and collaborate closely with senior researchers on long-term AI initiatives.

The ideal candidate is in the 3rd year of a Bachelors or a Masters in CS/EE, has strong Python and PyTorch skills, and understands DL basics; familiarity with LLMs and robotics is a plus, alongside solid communication

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in third year Bachelor or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge of Deep Learning (DL) components (training, regularization, generalization).
• Strong coding skills in Python, experience with coding in Pytorch.
• Experience in training or inference using Large Language Models (LLMs) is an asset.
• Knowledge and experience in robotics is an asset.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.

The total target annual compensation for this position ranges from $58,000 to $104,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
