Job summary

NETUR Inc in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, is seeking an experienced machinist for setup, operation and adjustment of high-precision parts. The role requires reading and interpreting technical drawings, operating Okuma CNC machines, and ensuring part quality through visual and dimensional checks.

A background in aerospace-grade materials is preferred, with ISO9001 knowledge valued. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant machining experience, proficiency with lathes or milling, and a basic command

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans for precision machining.
• 5 years of relevant experience in machining and fabrication.
• Experience on lathes and/or milling machines.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and working with hard materials.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards is an asset.
• CMM knowledge is an asset.
• Beginner level of English required for occasional communications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans to perform precision machining.
• Operate an Okuma CNC machine, set up and adjust as needed.
• Perform assembly and first-part runs; adjust and produce as requested.
• Ensure part quality by visual and dimensional inspection.
• Check dimensions with measuring instruments against control plans.
• Contribute to teamwork with improvement ideas; perform related tasks.

Job description

With more than 45 years of existence, Nétur Inc , we are looking for people wanting to take on challenges in the field of aeronautics and aerospace. We are a Quebec company located in Saint-Hubert, which specializes in the production and assembly of small and medium-sized high-precision parts.

Schedule:

• 8 hours per day

• Day shift

• Evening shift

The responsibilities of the position consist of doing set-up, to operate and adjust the machines, as well as ensure the quality of the manufacturing of its parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret technical drawings, plans in order to carry out precision machining operations;

Operate an Okuma brand numerical control machine;

Perform assembly (set up) and execute the first parts. Make the necessary adjustments and carry out the requested production;

Ensure the quality of the parts produced by carrying out visual and dimensional observation of the parts;

With the help of the control plans, check using measuring instruments if the dimensions are accurate and conform to the requirements;

Contribute to teamwork by providing suggestions for improvement;

Skills and qualifications:

DEP machining technique + ASP CNC machining / DEC mechanical or aeronautical engineering

5 years of relevant experience

Experience on lathes and/or milling machines

Comfortable with technical drawings

Experience with hard materials (inconel, titanium, hardened stainless steel)

Experience in welding (asset important)

Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards (asset)
CMM machine knowledge (asset)

A beginner level of English is required for this position, since some occasional communications could take place in this language.
