Job summary

Randstad Canada in Brantford, Ontario, is seeking a CNC Machine & Equipment Operator to setup and run multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, or routers with tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and perform in-process QA/QC checks using precision tools.

Strong attendance and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. Provide reliable daily performance across Day, Afternoon, Night, or Continental shifts; enjoy a stable schedule and access to health, dental, and vision benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of demonstrated CNC operation in manufacturing.
• Able to read blueprints and apply GD&T basics.
• Experience using QA/QC tools like calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

Location: Brantford, Ontario

Compensation: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour + Shift Premiums

Shift Options: Day, Afternoon, Night, or Continental Schedules Available

Responsibilities

• Setup & Production Execution: Configure and run multi-axis CNC mills, lathes, or routers to fabricate components meeting strict engineering tolerances.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow industrial schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine precise cutting metrics.
• Quality Verification: Perform rigorous in-process quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
• Material & Workflow Management: Safely load raw stock into machines, program/adjust parameters as needed, and monitor machining cycles to completion.
• Preventative Maintenance: Carry out routine tooling adjustments, basic machine troubleshooting, tool changes, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Minimum 1+ years of demonstrated success operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing or job-shop environment.
• Technical Aptitude: Proficient in reading blueprints and applying basic principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Measurement Mastery: Hands-on experience with precision QA/QC testing tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Physical & Operational Capability: Comfortable standing for extended periods and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safely.
• Reliability: Strong attendance track record and dependable transportation to locations within Brantford, ON.
