Randstad Canada is seeking a Senior CNC Setter/Operator in Barrie, ON to produce precise components using CNC Mills and Lathes. You will prepare CNC programs, set up machines, and support the setup team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in machining, a 2-year machining degree preferred, and proficiency with Cam software and G/M codes; strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Are you an experienced CNC professional with a keen eye for precision and a passion for high-quality machining? We are seeking a Senior CNC Setter/Operator, where you'll play a critical role in producing precise components to drive success.

Work - Monday to Friday
1 Day shift and 2 Afternoon shifts
On Bus route

Details

• $27-$35/hour
• Overtime after 40 hours
• Produce parts using CNC Mills and Lathes
• Prepare CNC programs and set-up machine
• Support machine setup and operation personnel
• Able to adjust offsets and code, if needed, to produce accurate parts
• 2-year degree in machining, preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a setter/machinist in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Produce parts using CNC Mills and Lathes
• Prepare CNC programs and set-up machine
• Support machine setup and operation personnel
• Able to adjust offsets and code, if needed, to produce accurate parts
• Identify all quality issues on machined parts and rectify issues
• Create programs for machines
• Willingness to operate an overhead crane and forklift
• Ability to train and coach new hires

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-year degree in machining, preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a setter/machinist in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Cam software
• Knowledge of G & M Codes
• Must be able to work in a Team environment
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes
• Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)
• Must be able to read precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gages)
• Must be able to read a print, have good communication skills, and have good math skills
• Must be able to read and speak English
