Job summary

Amsted Automotive (Transform Automotive Canada Ltd.) in London, Ontario, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for Midnights. You will operate CNC machining centers, perform quality checks, and participate in continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, and production targets.

We require 1–3 years in automotive/manufacturing, high school or higher, and the ability to work afternoons or midnights with reliable transportation. Overtime after 40 hours and comprehensive training are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for mechanics and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Shift-specific: Afternoon 3:00pm–11:00pm or Midnight 11:00pm–7:00am.
• 1–3 years in automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent manual dexterity; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of CNC machining centers including changeover, loading, operation, unloading, packing and inspection.
• Perform offsets, cycle time reductions, and support continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct quality checks on own work and on others as required.
• Record and report all quality defects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete assignments safely and accurately per standards and regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate a variety of CNC machining centers (including changeover, part loading, machine operation, unloading, packing, and inspection)
• Perform tasks including offsets, cycle time reductions, and carry out or participate in various continuous improvement activities
• Perform quality checks on own work, or work of others as required for quality
• Record and/or report all quality defects
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete work assignments with accuracy, sense of urgency, and in a safe manner in accordance with established standards, and all applicable Regulations / Legislation
