Job summary

Mazak Corporation Canada is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and train customers on CNC machines in the Waterloo Region. The role requires reading engineering drawings, PLC/hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge, and 1–3 years field service experience. A G-driver’s license and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Millwright or Electrician Certification or Diploma.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in Field Service with ability to read engineering drawings and understand PLC/Hydraulic/Pneumatic circuits.
  • G-Driver’s License is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office Suite.
  • Clear reporting and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install machines and accessories at customer sites, including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting and wiring.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
  • Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
  • Train customers on machine functions.
  • Learn new machine features as they become available.
  • Complete reports documenting installation, assessments, repairs, and parts used.
  • Utilize test equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
