The Government of Alberta is seeking a Manager, CloudOps in Edmonton to lead the Runtime & Platform Operations for OpenShift across cloud and on‑premises environments, guiding secure, scalable delivery and AI-enabled workloads.

You will oversee CI/CD pipelines, security controls, and governance while coaching multidisciplinary teams and advising on cloud strategy and platform improvements.

Qualifications

University degree in a related field with 4 years of progressively responsible related experience.
Cover letter demonstrating relevant skills and competencies is required.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise OpenShift platform operations across cloud and on-premises environments.
Drive platform modernization and standardized deployment and operational practices.
Oversee end-to-end container-to-production delivery pipelines with CI/CD, security, observability, and governance.
Provide strategic cloud advisory services to delivery teams and promote best practices.
Evaluate cloud service requirements, contracts, and options aligning with business objectives.
Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams with coaching and performance management.
Manage budgets, contracts, and reporting; inform senior leadership on platform strategy.
