Government of Alberta seeks a Director, Modernization Delivery to lead the delivery of high-priority digital products and services in Edmonton. You will provide strategic oversight to multidisciplinary teams throughout the product lifecycle and partner with ministry executives to align priorities with user needs.

The role requires expertise in digital transformation, service design, and AI delivery frameworks, with a focus on measurable outcomes and governance across government.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Arts, Sciences), supplemented by seven (7) years of progressively responsible, related experience.
• Extensive progressively responsible management experience in large or complex organizations, providing strategic support to government priorities and senior leadership.

Responsabilités

• Leading the delivery of complex, high-priority digital products and services that support ministry objectives and improve outcomes for Albertans.
• Providing strategic leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary product teams throughout the product lifecycle, from design and development to continuous improvement.
• Partnering with ministry executives, product owners, and stakeholders to align product planning, priorities, and delivery outcomes with business and user needs.
• Driving user-centred and data-informed decision-making through research, analytics, and stakeholder engagement to improve product performance and service delivery.
• Championing cutting-edge delivery practices, generative AI, and emerging technologies to accelerate modernization and deliver measurable business value.
• Establishing delivery frameworks, governance processes, and performance measures to ensure product quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Building organizational capability by coaching and developing high-performing teams while advancing digital literacy, innovation, and change adoption across government.
