Job summary

DMCL LLP in Surrey, BC is seeking a CPA Articling Student to join our Cloud Accounting team. This role focuses on bookkeeping, personal tax prep, and client service using QuickBooks Online, Hubdoc, Plooto, and PaymentEvolution, offering hands-on practice toward your CPA designation.

You'll work with small and medium businesses, manage day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare personal tax returns, and grow your technical skills with mentorship from experienced professionals in a collaborative,

Qualifications

Completed an undergraduate degree with a focus in accounting or related field.
Interest in bookkeeping, personal tax preparation, and small/medium businesses.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; comfortable learning new software.
Experience with QuickBooks Online is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

Get hands-on with client accounting: bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial records for clients.
Support clients with bookkeeping needs using accounting tools to keep records accurate.
Prepare personal tax returns, working papers, and other accounting tasks.
Assist with client reporting, GST/PST filings, and other accounting duties.
Build relationships with clients through effective communication and support.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a collaborative team.
