Job summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Clinical Trainer to join the Safety Education team in Vancouver, BC. You will deliver Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) training across multiple sites, collaborate with managers, coordinators and leaders to develop standardized training programs, and coordinate learning activities to meet staff needs and project goals.

Come work as a Clinical Trainer with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) at the Safety Education team in Vancouver, BC!

The Clinical Trainer provides training to staff at various organization sites through the delivery of Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) training programs and activities. Participates, in consultation and collaboration with Managers/Coordinators, various unit leadership teams and other relevant stakeholders, in the development and coordination of standardized clinical support and training programs to assist the knowledge transfer of WVP strategies into daily clinical practice. Assists in the setting of priorities, planning, organizing and coordinating training activities to support individual and group learning needs and jointly supports the attainment of project goals and missions. Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the department as well as the vision and values of the organization.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.

Education & Experience
