Job summary

Southbridge Ottawa LTC in Ottawa, Ontario, invites applications for a Director of Clinical Services. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will oversee nursing services, ensure high-quality resident care, compliance with regulations, and support an interdisciplinary team.

This full-time role features standard hours 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime during peak periods. RN in good standing and LTC leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• RN in good standing with CNO.
• Minimum of three years of LTC experience; leadership experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of geriatric care, infection prevention & control, adult education principles, and quality improvement processes.
• Proficient in RAI-MDS and computerized resident care systems.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Care in implementing quality improvement initiatives and risk management in the nursing department.
• Lead coordination of best practice and risk management programs for resident care (falls prevention, infection control, etc.).
• Monitor nursing supplies and resources usage.
• Oversee HIN program and ensure proper resident support and documentation.
• Maintain resident care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.
• Support and oversee the RAI-MDS program for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor staff and ensure quality resident care in home areas.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions related to occupational health and safety; manage modified work programs as required.
• Collaborate with Director of Care on special projects and audits.
• Cover nursing department in Director's absence.
