Job summary

Schlegel Villages is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Care (RN or RPN) in Ottawa, ON. This on-site role leads nursing teams, oversees clinical programs, and drives quality outcomes within a resident-centered culture. Start date Fall 2026/January 2027, with growth opportunities across the organization.

The position requires active RN/RPN registration and at least three years of leadership experience in healthcare, with CPR certification and a strong commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• RN or RPN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Three years of experience leading and directing departments in a healthcare setting.
• Current Heart Save CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead resident-centered clinical care and programs.
• Track and analyze trends, drive quality assurance initiatives, and participate in village committees.
• Provide training and guidance to clinical teams and manage inventory and supplies.
• Foster relationships with residents, families and staff to deliver holistic care.
