We are seeking a Clinical Practice Leader to provide leadership in clinical practice, education, and research within our Professional Practice team. The role involves working collaboratively to deliver innovative, compassionate healthcare, with a focus on optimizing patient care using real-time data and analytics, and leading quality and safety initiatives in the Critical Care Unit.

This is a Temporary Full-Time position until November 2025, based at our Wilson Site, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, onsite, with flexibility. The role reports to the Program Director of Critical Care and Oncology, and the Senior Director of Professional Practice.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Consulting with program leaders and staff to identify needs
  2. Modeling clinical and professional development excellence
  3. Promoting interdisciplinary team development
  4. Designing and delivering educational programs and orientations
  5. Developing continuous education initiatives
  6. Advocating for best clinical practices in critical care
  7. Translating evidence-based knowledge into practice
  8. Leading the Critical Care Response Team for one day per week
  9. Preparing reports for regulatory and professional bodies
  10. Assessing practice gaps and developing educational strategies
  11. Monitoring quality of care and performance benchmarks
Minimum requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or MSc in Nursing
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • At least 5 years of recent nursing experience in Critical Care
  • Experience in a Critical Care Response Team is an asset
  • Canadian Critical Care Nursing certification preferred
  • Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications
  • Experience in adult education and program development
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to patient- and family-centered care
