Job Description

As a Practice Area Lead for Application Development (focused on SharePoint and Office 365) with 2toLead, you will be responsible for leading and developing the application development practice. The individual in this role will provide thought leadership to our clients, set strategic direction for the practice, and drive sales, recruiting, development, and operational efficiencies. This position ensures the overall quality execution of technology consulting across expertise areas including Office 365, SharePoint, Azure, and Software Engineering (Front End, Mobile, Custom, DevOps).

Responsibilities

Accountability for the practice, including:

  1. Practice Building
    • Drive growth through business development, talent management, delivery oversight, and thought leadership.
    • Develop case studies and solutions offerings based on best practices.
  2. Business Development
    • Lead business development, leveraging contacts to grow the company.
    • Identify and sell technology services to new and existing clients.
    • Manage relationships with senior client stakeholders and expand the client portfolio.
    • Participate in industry forums, events, and speaking engagements.
  3. Team & Individual Development
    • Enhance team performance and job satisfaction.
    • Mentor and support practice capabilities and recruit new talent.
    • Coach and motivate project teams and contractors.
  4. Engagement Management
    • Manage project risks, budgets, and deliverables.
    • Lead technology strategy discussions and manage project documentation.
    • Set and modify client expectations and coordinate estimates and staffing.
Experience

Early success requires:

  • 10+ years in software engineering consulting or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership in managing multiple customer engagements.
  • P&L experience in a mid-sized consulting firm (10-25 employees).
  • Strong mentoring, leadership, and client relationship skills.
  • Experience in full-stack engineering and agile delivery.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Office 365 solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
