About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Client Relations Specialist - Collections to join our client's team in Montreal. This role is not just about collecting payments - it's about building and maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring financial commitments are met. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English & French), skilled and composed in phone communications, diplomatic, and solution-oriented. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth, professional interactions with clients while managing B2B collections in a respectful and strategic manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage B2B collections while maintaining strong and positive client relationships.
• Engage with clients professionally and tactfully MOSTLY via phone and by emails to follow up on outstanding balances.
• Find solutions by negotiating payment arrangements in a way that preserves client trust and satisfaction.
• Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts and client interactions.
• Analyze overdue accounts and provide recommendations for improving the collections process while ensuring an excellent client experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field, preferably in professional services.
• Experience in B2B collections is a strong asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills - confident on the phone, persuasive but always professional and respectful.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting/collections software.
• Bilingual (English & French)
