Job summary

HUB International in Nanaimo, Canada, is hiring a Personal Insurance Associate to help protect clients’ assets and educate them on habitational, travel, and auto insurance. You will serve clients with a friendly, knowledgeable approach while pursuing sales leads and renewals.

The role emphasizes high-volume client service, accuracy in policy processing, and meeting sales/retention targets, with ongoing product education to stay current in Personal Lines and Auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year Personal Insurance experience
• Level 2 General Insurance License is an asset, but not required
• Desire and proactive ability to deliver exceptional client service
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced team environment
• Keen eye for detail and high sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales initiatives
• Industry designation would be considered an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma)

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand and advise on their insurance needs to help develop the best coverage needed in all things Personal Insurance (habitational, travel, automobile)
• Follow-up regularly on sales leads and referral prospects
• Process and conduct renewals and ensure policies are processed and issued accurately in a timely manner
• Achieve sales and retention goals and targets
• Maintaining a high level of knowledge in all our Personal Lines and Auto products through continuous education and learning opportunities

Salary Expectations – The expected salary for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
