Job summary

HUB International is hiring a Personal Insurance Trainee in Canada. You will engage clients to assess personal insurance needs—habitational, travel and auto—delivering tailored coverages with strong client service.

Training provided for licenses and industry designations, with goals for sales and renewal outcomes. You’ll work in a high-volume, fast-paced team, building product knowledge and relationships while you grow your career within HUB’s North American brokerage.

Qualifications

• Prior insurance experience is an asset but not required – we will train you!
• General Insurance License is an asset but not required to be hired – we support licensing as part of your development.
• Desire and proactive ability to deliver exceptional client service
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced team environment
• Keen eye for detail and high sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills in both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales initiatives
• Industry designation would be considered an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma)

Responsibilities

• Follow-up regularly on sales leads and referral prospects
• Process and conduct renewals and ensure policies are processed and issued accurately in a timely manner
• Achieve sales and retention goals and targets
• Maintaining a high level of knowledge in all our Personal Lines and Auto products through continuous education and learning opportunities

Salary Expectations

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
