Job summary

The District of Squamish is seeking a Clerk 2 for Temporary Part-Time and Casual/On-Call roles to deliver clerical and customer service support in Corporate Administration. The successful candidate will handle records, meetings, and office functions while providing top-notch service to internal and external customers.

Three years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant and a Business Administration Certificate are required, with strong Word skills and 50 wpm typing.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Certificate in Business Administration and 2 years’ experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Sound understanding of standard office procedures, practices, and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong keyboarding skills (minimum 50 wpm).
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and other office software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical, administrative, and customer service support for Corporate Administration.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain records, coordinate meetings, and assist with office functions.
  • Perform data entry and manage electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and prepare meeting materials.
  • Conduct records searches and basic data collection activities.
