Job summary

Spanwell is seeking a Cleaner - Shift A for on-site work in Ingersoll, Ontario. The role covers 3 hours daily, with shifts from 8:00–11:00 or 9:00–12:00, at a brand new industrial building.

You will perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and disinfecting, restock supplies, and report maintenance concerns. Punctuality, reliability and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• General cleaning tasks in commercial settings.
• Pass drug test and maintain a clean record.
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products and basic safety practices (WHMIS asset).
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and time management.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light to moderate loads.
• Effective communication and ability to follow written/verbal instructions; cleaning experience is an asset.
• On-site availability in Ingersoll, ON; full-time basis (shifts listed).

Responsibilities

Role Description

The Cleaner - Shift A (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM) OR (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM). Would have to be 3 hours before 2:00PM - DAILY

A 3 hours per day, on-site role based in Ingersoll, ON. In this position, the cleaner is responsible for maintaining a brand new industrial building, duties including; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. Daily tasks may include cleaning washrooms, kitchens or break areas, emptying waste and recycling bins, restocking supplies, and maintaining floors and high-touch surfaces. The role also involves following safety and cleaning protocols, reporting maintenance or safety concerns, and using cleaning equipment and chemicals according to company guidelines. The cleaner is expected to be punctual for Shift A, work efficiently with minimal supervision, and uphold Spanwell's quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting in commercial or residential settings.
• Presentable, ability to pass a drug test and a Clean Record
• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning products, equipment, and basic workplace safety practices (WHMIS or similar training is an asset).
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete assigned duties within the shifts listed above
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light to moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions; previous professional cleaning experience is an asset.
• Availability to work on-site in Ingersoll, ON on a full-time basis and adhere to company policies and quality standards.
