Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking a diligent Cleaner to support clients in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming home environments in Ontario. You will perform routine household cleaning tasks in clients’ homes, upholding high standards of privacy, safety, and quality of service.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in clients’ homes while traveling within designated areas.

Qualifications

• Relevant cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle (preferred).
• Willingness to travel within Sarnia-Lambton and surrounding areas.
• Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently in clients' homes.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Clean kitchens and bathrooms.
• Laundry and light housekeeping.
• Maintain clean and safe client environments.
• Follow cleaning protocols and safety guidelines.
• Respect client privacy and stay professional.
• Report concerns to the office team.

Position Overview

As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in supporting our clients’ well-being by ensuring their living spaces are clean, organized, and hygienic. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy making a positive difference in people’s daily lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform general household cleaning duties including:
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
• Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
• Laundry and light housekeeping
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
• Respect client privacy and maintain professionalism at all times
• Report any concerns or observations to the office team

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
• Good communication skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
