Senior Helpers Sarnia-Lambton is seeking a reliable Cleaner to support clients in maintaining clean, safe homes. You will perform routine cleaning, organize living spaces, and help preserve clients’ independence and comfort.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning: sweep, mop, vacuum floors, dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Clean kitchens and bathrooms and handle laundry.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow safety guidelines.
• Respect client privacy and report concerns to the office.
• Travel within Sarnia-Lambton and surrounding areas if required.

Position Overview

As a Cleaner, you will play a key role in supporting our clients’ well-being by ensuring their living spaces are clean, organized, and hygienic. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy making a positive difference in people’s daily lives.

Responsibilities

• Perform general household cleaning duties including:
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Dusting and sanitizing surfaces
  • Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
  • Laundry and light housekeeping
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
• Respect client privacy and maintain professionalism at all times
• Report any concerns or observations to the office team

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
• Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
• Good communication skills
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)
• Ability to travel within Sarnia-Lambton and surrounding areas
• Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
