Job summary

Dexterra Group in Toronto, Canada, is seeking a detail-oriented Day Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our site. This is a casual, on-call role with hours based on operational needs.

The ideal candidate will be organized, able to work independently, with 6 months of cleaning/janitorial experience preferred, and capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. A clear criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of assigned areas, including offices, pantries, restrooms, common areas, and specialized spaces.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and equipment according to established protocols.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in a timely manner.
• Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory of materials.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Participate in educational programs and in-service trainings.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Day Porters to join our team in Toronto, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our site. You will work independently to ensure all areas meet our high cleanliness standards while adhering to health and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and committed to delivering quality work on a consistent basis.This is a casual, on-call position with no fixed schedule. Hours are based on operational needs and are not guaranteed.

Your work will include:
