Borealis Fuels & Logistics is seeking a Class B Gas Fitter to join our Central Alberta team. You will develop skills under supervision and contribute to LPG service delivery across residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

The role emphasizes safe installation, repair, and servicing of propane systems, with opportunities to advance toward Class A certification and CSA B149.2 compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Gas Fitter schooling completed or in progress.
• Class 1 or 3 driver's licence with Air Brake endorsement (to be obtained if not yet)

Responsibilities

• Support LPG service excellence across Alberta.
• Perform tank installations and tank swaps.
• Design, build and service bulk storage facilities.
• Design, build and service industrial gas distribution systems.
• Install, repair, and service propane appliances, regulators, meters, valves, burners, and vaporizers in residential to industrial settings.
• Work on liquid piping systems and vaporizers.
• Advance knowledge of CSA B149.2 code and apply its rules.
• Progress toward Class A gas fitting certification.

Job Description

Summary

Borealis Fuels & Logistics is looking for a Class B Gas Fitter to expand its service team in the Central Alberta Branch. Borealis deems this position to be essential for our continued growth in Central Alberta. The gas fitter will develop his skills under the supervision of our Service Manager, John Shears.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support Borealis’ vision for LPG service excellence in Alberta
• Perform new tank installations and tank swap-outs
• Design, build and service bulk storage facilities
• Design, build and service industrial gas distribution systems
• Install, repair, service, and replace propane gas appliances, regulators, gas meters, valves, burners and vaporizers in residential, commercial, or industrial-related properties and areas
• Work on liquid piping systems and install, repair and maintain vaporizers
• Continue to develop knowledge of the CSA B149.2 code and apply the rules
• Develop skills, gain hours of service and progress toward Class A gas fitting certification

Education & Experience

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Gas Fitter schooling and apprenticeship training completed
• Class 1 or 3 driver's licence with Air Brake endorsement (to be done if not acquired yet)
• Bulk handling, bottle fill PTI recognized courses, TDG

Position Requirements

• Gas Fitter (Class B) Certificate of Qualification in Alberta
• Extensive knowledge of the propane and LPG industry
• Extensive knowledge of gas-fired appliances
• Proficient with computers and office software
• Exceptional communication and time management skills
• Multitasking and the ability to work with teams
• Solid knowledge of the oil and gas industry
