Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Class AZ Fluids Operator for our Sarnia, ON operations. This full-time role involves driving and operating fluid-haul equipment in a safe, professional manner, and adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

You'll participate in safety programs, toolbox talks, and complete daily logs and paperwork. The job requires travel to Vertex worksites across North America and lifting heavy tools as needed; a clean AZ license and tank-truck

Qualifications

• Valid Class AZ license is required and must have a clean driving record.
• Two years’ experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) is preferred.
• Capable of operating Tri-Axle units and Super B trucks.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Participate in safety program and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings, complete pre-trips/post-trips and hazard assessments.
• Collaborate with coworkers, contractors and customers as a team player.
• Follow all local, provincial and federal regulations and ensure safety certificates are up to date.
• Perform maintenance to keep units clean and operational.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork on time, including logs and manifests.
• Flex workload and schedules during busy periods or emergencies; travel to various sites will be required.

• Compensation is commensurate with experience, and hours worked but can be within the range of ($7,000-$11,000/month)

Candidate Qualifications

• Valid Class AZ driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
• 2 years’ experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) desired
• Capable to operate Tri - Axle units and Super B trucks

Job Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and professional manner
• Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
• Attendance and participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
• Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
• Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods
• Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
