Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following safe work practices and procedures.
• Drive, operate and maintain assigned units.
• Load and unload hazardous/non-hazardous waste properly.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is sound.
• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet regulations.
• Complete field level risk assessments and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with customers, co-workers & supervisors as a team.

Our Clean Harbors team in Thorold, ON is looking for AZ Drivers to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of units such as Vacuum Trucks and Bulk Liquid Tankers to perform industrial cleaning at various client sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Drive, operate and maintain assigned units.
• Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order at all times.
• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations.
• Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork.
• Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class AZ Driver's License required.
• Ability to drive up to an 18-speed manual transmission required.
• Previous commercial driving experience required.
• Industrial and/or Construction based background considered an asset.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
