Job summary

Clean Harbors in Sarnia, ON is seeking AZ & DZ Drivers to join our safety conscious team, operating Vacuum Trucks and High Pressure Equipment for industrial cleaning at client sites.

The successful candidate will drive, operate and maintain units, perform loading/unloading and pre/post trip inspections while ensuring health and safety compliance. Travel up to 50% of the time and a commitment to safe practices are required.

Qualifications

• Valid DZ driver’s license; AZ considered as well.
• Industrial and/or Construction background considered an asset.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Drive, operate and maintain assigned units.
• Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and ensure equipment is mechanically sound.
• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet requirements.
• Complete field level risk assessments and related paperwork.
• Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Drive, operate and maintain assigned units;
• Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste;
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order at all times;
• Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations;
• Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork;
• Work as part of a team with customers, co-workers & supervisors.

Qualifications

• Class DZ Driver’s License required, AZ considered as well;
• Previous commercial driving experience required;
• Industrial and/or Construction based background considered an asset;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, up to 5-10 days away from home at a time.
