Cooper Equipment Rentals in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking a safety-minded delivery driver to transport climate control equipment to construction sites and customer locations.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, securely load and unload gear, obtain customer signatures, maintain accurate records, and communicate with dispatch. This role requires outdoor work year-round, a valid Class 5 license, and overtime availability during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5/G driver's license with clean abstract.
• Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of construction equipment is an asset.
• Commercial driving experience is an asset.
• Experience driving heavy trucks and pulling trailers is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up climate control equipment to and from construction sites and customer locations.
• Safely load/unload equipment and secure loads; inspect in transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and check fuel/oil levels.
• Secure customer signatures and inform supervisor of difficulties.
• Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.
• Double check delivered items against orders.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules.
• Fill out forms for missing/broken equipment and coordinate with Branch Manager.
• Provide basic instruction on safe setup and operation of equipment.

**Build your Career at Cooper Equipment Rentals**We are looking for customer-oriented, motivatedindividuals to join our professional team.*Please note, to be considered for this position applicants should currently be residing in Canada and legally entitled to work.** Competitive salary, with overtime available* Excellent benefit package with premiums paid by the company* Uniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear provided* RRSP Match* Safety-minded organization* Stable, year-round employment* Continuous training, learning and development opportunities* Fun-loving work environment with strong social responsibility**What You'll Be Doing**Duties and Responsibilities:* Deliver and pick up climate control equipment to and from construction sites and customer locations.* Safely load and unload climate control equipment such as temporary construction heaters and related accessories; secure loads per company procedure and inspect in transit when necessary.* Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.* Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine checks of fuel, oil, and fluid levels to ensure safe and reliable operation.* Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed.* Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.* Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.* Double check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.* Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified.* If equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get the customer's signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets. Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.* Provide basic instruction to customers on the safe set-up and operation of climate control equipment if necessary.* Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.* Complete daily accurate pre-inspections and post-inspections regulatory logs and timesheets.**What You'll Bring to the Team**Qualifications and Requirements:* Valid Class 5/G driver's license with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than three demerit points).You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver's abstract upon request.* Experience with operation, load securement and transportation of construction equipment, or other types of heavy loads is an asset.* Prior commercial driving experience is an asset.* Previous LPG/propane experience is considered an asset.* Experience driving heavy trucks and/or pulling trailers is an asset (for example Class 5 Roll-Off trucks, flat decks, or heavy-duty pick-up trucks).* Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions.* Comfortable with city driving.* Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.* Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver.* Available and willing to work overtime when required, particularly during peak seasonal demand (winter months).* Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.* Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.* Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.* Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.#SJ1At Cooper Equipment Rentals, we believe our people are our greatest strength.
