Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is hiring a delivery driver with an AZ license to transport trench shoring and safety gear. You will manage loading, securing loads, and completing required inspections and logs.

The role requires 3–5 years of commercial driving in construction, comfort with an 18-speed manual, and the ability to lift ~50 lbs. Work involves coordinating with dispatch, maintaining records, and occasionally performing yard tasks such as forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory abstract.
• 3-5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction.
• Comfortable with 18-speed manual transmission.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Experience with heavy-duty construction equipment transport is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up trench-related shoring and safety equipment.
• Load and unload equipment for transportation, securing load per procedure.
• Perform daily pre-inspections and post-inspections, complete logs and timesheets.
• Check fluid levels and secure signatures on contracts when needed.
• Inform supervisor of delivery or pickup issues and new sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records and report missing/broken equipment.
• Operate forklift or assist in yard duties as required and keep truck clean.

Inspect in transit if necessary.Complete thorough and accurate daily pre-inspections and post-inspections, regulatory logs and timesheets. Check gas, oil and other fluid levels.Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signedInform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sitesDouble check delivered items to make sure customers receive exactly what they orderedCommunicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notified.Maintain accurate delivery and pickup recordsIf equipment is missing or broken upon pick up fill out the appropriate forms and get customer’s signature. Turn in these forms to Branch Manager, along with pick up sheets.Tag and move broken equipment to repair area.Help with general labour duties in the yard as required (operating forklift, organizing equipment, cleaning equipment, etc.).Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.What You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.3-5 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in the construction industry (or closely related field), transporting heavy loads.Comfortable with 18-speed manual transmission.Comfortable with city driving.comfortable hauling oversized loads (on average 10ft wide).Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
