Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking experienced Class 3 Operators for a approximately 6‑month temporary assignment at a Cenovus site. TDG knowledge and 3+ years of manual transmission, plus Combo Vac experience, are required.

The role involves operating several Class 3 units in diverse weather, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Duties include tank cleaning (confined space entry), completing daily logs and inspections, and following dispatch instructions.

Qualifications

• TDG knowledge and related regulatory requirements.
• Three+ years of manual transmission experience.
• Experience operating Combo Vac units preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Combo Vac units in a safe and compliant manner.
• Perform tank cleaning with confined space entry when required.
• Complete daily logs, work orders, risk assessments, and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Follow dispatch or supervisor instructions and maintain the vehicle and equipment.
• Keep the vehicle clean and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Attend toolbox and safety meetings and adhere to site safety procedures.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Cenovus site, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 3 units. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Combo Vac units.
• Tank cleaning (requires confined space entry)
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation, including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field-level risk assessment, and pre/post-tripinspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of the assigned truck to ensure maintenance of the companyimage.
• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.
• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class3 driver’s license with a clean driver’sabstract.
• Minimum 3years of experience, including up to 18 speed manual class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Previous or relatedexperience operatingComboVac units.
• previous tank cleaning experience an asset.
• Minedriveexperience is anasset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Confined Space Entry ticket.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
