Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is hiring a Class 3 Operator based in the Fort McKay area of Alberta. The role requires mechanically inclined individuals with 3+ years of manual transmission experience and prior fluid hauling exposure (water, sewer, vacuum, tanker). TDG knowledge and relevant safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple Class 3 units (Water, Sewer, Vacuum, Tanker) safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily logs, customer work orders, field risk assessments, and pre/post trip inspections.
• Follow dispatch or supervisor directions and maintain daily housekeeping of assigned truck.
• Attend daily toolbox talks and adhere to safety procedures.
• Maintain and operate all company tools to standards and ensure training is up to date.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Fort McKay main shop, this position involves the safe operation of several types of Class 3 units. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operateseveral types of units (Water, sewer,Vacuum,Steam truck,Tanker)in a safe and efficientmanner.
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to daily logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.
• Attend daily toolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards and procedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.
• Seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in all activities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class3 driver’s license with clean driver’sabstract.
• Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Previous or related experience operating Water, Vacuum, Hydro or ComboVac units.
• Minedrive experience is an asset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
