Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Class 1 Operators at our Kearl site location. Operators will safely haul water and sewer, operate water, vacuum, and related units, and must be mechanically inclined to work in all weather conditions.

TDG knowledge and 3+ years of manual transmission experience are required; camp accommodations and flights are provided. Preference will be given to local candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Minimum 3 years experience with up to 18 speed manual Class 1 equipment.
• Experience operating water and vacuum units.
• Minedrive experience is preferred.
• TDG and WHMIS knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of units (Water, sewer, Vacuum) safely and efficiently.
• Be physically able to perform tasks in all weather conditions.
• Complete daily documentation (logbooks, work orders, risk assessments, pre/post trip inspections).
• Follow Dispatch or Supervisor instructions for tasks.
• Perform daily housekeeping of assigned truck to maintain company image.
• Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings and comply with site safety regulations.

Job Summary:

Operating from our client site, Kearl Lake, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 1 units, hauling both water and sewer. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.

• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.

• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.

• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.

• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.

• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.

• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.

• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean driver’sabstract.

• Minimum 3years experienceincluding up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment.

• Previous or relatedexperience operatingWater and Vac units.

• Minedriveexperience required.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.

• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, H2S Alive and First Aid.

• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
