Canada Cartage in Surrey, BC is seeking a dependable Class 1 Truck Driver for overnight runs. You will operate tractor-trailer equipment, complete deliveries and pickups across BC, and maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license, a clean CVOR, and recent driving experience. You’ll report to the operations team, handle e-logs and delivery documentation, and stay flexible for overtime and weekend schedules.

• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within past 3–12 months)
• Sleeper truck age not older than 6 years

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate vehicles to transport freight across city routes and regional lanes
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within BC in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
• Required Sleeper Truck: should not be older than 6 years
• Open to drive at night
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
• Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
