Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Own Day Cab - maximum 9 years old.
• All units painted Canada Cartage Blue or White.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicle to transport freight across Western Canada.
• Complete deliveries and pickups within Western Canada safely and professionally.
• Operate Tractor-Trailer equipment per company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Secure freight with straps, chains, and load bars per standards.
• Transport general freight according to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections per NSC Standards.
• Complete required documentation (e-logs, delivery paperwork, incident reports).
• Maintain hours-of-service compliance and safety policies.
• Adapt to variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate vehicle to transport freight across Western Canada
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Western Canada in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate Tractor- Trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle in accordance with National Safety Code (NSC) Standard 13
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• Required to own Day Cab - maximum 9 years old
• All units must be painted in Canada Cartage Blue or White.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean 5 years CVOR and driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (within the past 3 months to 1 year)
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1driving experience
• Strong knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions and at night
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required

• Specialized Equipment

  • Previous experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett's

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
