Job summary

Vertex is seeking Full Time Class 1 and 3 Operators with Semi-Vac, Combo-Vac and Straight-Vac experience to join our Nisku, Alberta team. Local candidates from the Nisku area are preferred.

Responsibilities include performing pre/post trip inspections, maintaining units, complying with safety and environmental regulations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Must be health-conscious, reliable, and able to work out of town when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 driver’s license with 1–2 years of experience operating Semi Vac, Combo Vac and Straight Vac.
• OR a valid Class 3 license with 1–2 years of experience operating Combo Vac and Straight Vac.
• Has ELD logbook experience and safety tickets (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO).

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Comply with company policies, health and safety procedures, DOT and hazardous materials requirements.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation on time (daily logs, dispatch & trip reports, time sheets).
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections and report inefficiencies to Supervisor.
• Safely observe all operating guidelines and safety rules.
• Observe environmental health and safety guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
• Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
• Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

Candidate Qualifications

• Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
• Clean commercial drivers abstract
• Minimum of 1 year within the oilfield experience
• Valid Class 1 drivers license with 1 - 2 years of experience operating Semi Vac's, Combo Vac's and Straight Vac's

OR

• Valid Class 3 drives license with 1 - 2 years of experience operating Combo Vac's and Straight Vac's
• ELD logbook experience
• Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
• Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
• Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary

Assets to Have

• High Pressure experience
• Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
