Job summary

Vertex is seeking Full Time Class 1 and 3 Operators in Bonnyville, Alberta. Local candidates preferred; experience with Semi-Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks is ideal, but not required for all listed equipment.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or Class 3 CDL with 3-5 years on Semi-Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer or Pressure Trucks.
• ELD logbook experience; H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets.
• Willing to work out of town when applicable and maintain health and physical condition.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction with excellent service.
• Comply with company policies, health and safety, and DOT hazardous materials requirements.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete paperwork: logs, dispatch, trip reports and time sheets.

Job Description

We are currently looking for Full Time Class 1 and 3 Operators with Semi-Vac, Combo-Vac, Straight-Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Truck experience to join our team! We are looking for Operators who are looking for full time work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
• Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
• Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines

Candidate Qualifications

• Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)
• Clean commercial drivers abstract
• Valid Class 1 drivers license with 3-5years of experience with Semi Vac, Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Tanker, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks

OR

• Valid Class 3 drivers license with 3-5 years of experience with Combo Vac, Straight Vac, Steamer and/or Pressure Trucks
• ELD logbook experience
• Possess H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO safety tickets
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently while managing time and productivityMust be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
• Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary

Assets to Have

• Class 1 Super B Experience
• Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
